No $500 is not close to the price for a NEW DSLR, but if you were to spend a little bit more, around $750 it will get you a second hand Canon 300 D DSLR. Heck i was even thinking about selling mine for around $700. Regards Jeff

They will do fine aslong as the tank is big enough to handle all the fish. They are very placid fish.

Great to see that your documenting this, well done. Definately feed the brineshrimp over the powdered pellets, its a far better source of protein. Best to feed them this as soon as they begin free swimming, about 5 times a day.

Hey Ronman Not totally finished, although ive got holidays at the moment, but still crazy busy. My last exam results were pretty good, thank you. Sure I'll build you a quarantine room, just supply me with the materials and make sure you dont mind a something from the kampung. :lol: Jeff

DAMN you guys spend alot! But i guess you arnt students with a part time job....... Anyways my stuff for the 5 foot > so far about is about $2000 this includes some tunze stuff, and a deltec thing. Still need the rock, sump and make up the stand

Does anyone know where in auckland you can get cutting board or starboard 5 foot long? Is it safe? maybe not safe but ok, to rest rock on the glass if there is enough bracing?

Thanks for the replies, Chimera, I will probably make up a removable overflow aswell. But the main thing i want to do is hide the durso's in the overflow. Thanks for the pics.

Just as the question ask's? Can it be done? I want a black overflow in the upgrade, and wanted to use black perspex, or is there a fish safe paint which i can paint the inside of the overflow with?
