Hi all i was just wondering if any one else has ever had thousands of very very small white worms in with there turtles the are in cold water i did a water change about 4 days ago the only worms i have feed them is earth worms. Hopefully not a pest worm please if anyone has any idea please let me know
  2. Hi all thanks for the helpful hints just to give you an idea the tank is an aquaone 850 in hood lights and filter. Ive tryed a few things like suggested without to much luck such as lowering the hours of the light ive even tryed no light for about 2 weeks and still no luck i have a pair of bristlenose catfish in there its a real worry can come back next day and algie is back where i just cleaned but i will check nitrate levels . thanks again guys for all the help

Hi all hope all is well. i was wondering if anyone else has had troble with a green slime like algie growing in there tank im havin lots of troble with it and cant get rid of it with algie cure etc has anyone got any ideas on how i could get rid of it would be really apprieciated thanks from chris
  4. hi there id love to help with ya northland club but am an hour away aswell i hope you have some luck there are lots of people up here even with fish. i only just found now that you were trying to get a club going have you had any success yet ? keep tryin. Hi agian thanks for your replys .the little worm that hang out the backs of some of the fish r very thin like a dark red in colour and r mainly seen on the fish when they r not really swimming u can see them rigling around when the fish is still ive notice a couple of my fish tonight have gone a bit beant looking and look very sick i think im going to have to flush them down the toilet bugger
  7. Hi there thanks for your reply's so far .still no luck with any real reasons to the worms but hopefully soon . My tank has been set up i would say for about 10 months or abit more i do gravel cleans regularly but havent recently due to the amount of small bristle noses and guppie . My tank has plenty of oxygen running and also has lots of plants which help to creat oxegen . i have also check the tank for ph nitrate hard ness etc and all results have come back as perfect ph 7 nitrate 0 and hardness is about 150 ppm . so if u could help me any furture on this subject i would love to hear from you all cheers and thanks again for everyones help

    hey there i know the fish u r talkin about id breed about 20 of them once before i brought them from a shop that advertised them as strawberryblues but that is not really there name they r only called that so people will buy them as they sound nice i will try and remember there name and get back to u thats why u will proberly havin troble finding the scientific name under strawberry blue
  9. i have noticed alot of my fish swimming near the top of the water and not looking to well . i notice a female bristle nose when she was on the glass had little red worms haging out her behind and then a few days later she was dead are there any ideas on how to get ride of this problem and r the worms really bad that they could be killing my fish thanks for trying to help
