Not a huge amount to report. The tank has gone away for re-sealing and a tidy up and for drilling, as has the sump. The ATO is now in the cabinet. I picked up my new Hailea A-500 chiller today from Ronnie at New Pupuke Aquarium Centre. Thanks Ron Last night I collected another 18kg of Walt Smith rock, bringing the total amount I now have to around 43kg.

Before you even attempt to go there have you looked at 'The List'? It is the top stickie in this Freshwater section. The reason I ask is that if the species that you want is not on the list of allowed imports then there is no point you going further. There are three main importers in NZ and they are the major wholesale suppliers to the shops. There are a few private importers who mostly import to their own requirements or the requirements of businesses that they personally own. Most are not on these forums. Not trying to sound negative here but unless you are talking hundreds of a particular species then the costs are huge and at the end of the day the market needs to be out there. Previous times, and even right now, importers have bought in species of fish, at request, to find out that no one will pay the end price after importing, quarantining costs and all extras are taken in to consideration.
Here was me thinking my Colombian zebra plecos (L129) were too small and too young to breed. I looked in one of the caves a week ago and a 6 cm young male had trapped a female. I thought you're a dreamer until two days later when he was fanning a batch of eggs
