$8 sounds bout write and i think where ever u shop ull always find small ones .and cant help u with the plants sorry .

there should be a line for salt and one for fresh id aim for sumwhere in the middle.these fish in the wild live in the mouth of rivers so tend to get a mix of water's both salt and fresh.if all else fails try a taste test.

puffers are brackash and do better with sea salt added to there freshwater .to test ur salt levels u need a hydrometer.this should have marks on it for salt water and brackash.do well with other brackash fish like monos and scats.

same shape heaps bigger and more agro.are silver with black dots down both sides ,every one has different spots like a finger print.

to be honest dont no but put five bout 25mm long in my 6footer the other day and havent seen them sence so im guess sumone ate them 0 remains so far .

we are still talking bout a black goast knife fish aye.there big sooks mines got a tiny mouth and runs and hides from every think.now my clown knife is a different story he'll eat anythink he can fit in his mouth.

wetpets water that they sell is filted heavely before its sold with a carbon filter .this takes nealy all the chemicals out of it leaving it perfect for fish.use water straight from the tap and are bound to lose sum fish.easy way is to buy ur own filter wetties sell them for bout $140 i think makes life easy.

i use to work there two and the discus tank only gets small water changes as to not harm the fish and has alot of plant waste which helps keep the ph down .if u want ur discus looking there best use ph down or a ph stabiliser u want ur ph bout 6.2.and i think he wants bout $40.00 each for them.u should go with the uarus i think cool fish i have trhee my self.discus just sit thetre and ur so limited to what u can put with them.

wetpets water is fine for uarus but the ph will be way to high for discus .there ph sits around 8.0.and i also no sumone with 12 discus to sell if ur interested they are currently in a four foot tank.palmy water in general has a high ph .

they get bout 350 to 450 mm long fully grown not many reach this size .my knife would be bout 300mm long.they do not like any chemical treatments for whitespot etc as they dont have scales like a normal fish.
