Hey everyone, just moved up to Auckland, and gettin ready to start up the hobby again. Can you guys recommend any good fish places and shops in Auckland? Been going to Jansen's Botany Downs cos its the closest, but pretty clueless where to go after that.

Highly recommend Hollywood Fishfarm's, located Mt Eden, and north shore (take the Greville Rd exit and veer left at round-a-bout, it's amongst a bunch of other shops).

HFF are pretty good i thought but if you can find some good breeders of what fish you want youll get much better stock and info IMO

Yeah hollywoods and Jansens botany and mt eden, i wouldnt recomment going to any other jansens......... also Pupuke(spelling??) aquariums is supposed to be good.

Luke.. you better come up to auckland and visit the shops more often.

Your directions to Hollywoods in Mt Roskill ended up in Albany

good shops to visit are:

Hollywood Fish Farm - Frost Rd, Mt Eden

Tawa Drive, Albany

Goldfish Pagoda - Cascades Rd, Pakuranga

Four Seasons - Aprirana Drive, Glen Innes

Jansens - East Tamaki

Mt Eden

Glenfield

Silverdale

Bird Barn - Lincoln Rd, Henderson

Hope this helps

Thanks everyone, been to Hollywood and Jansens Mt Eden today. Pretty impressive! Goldfish Pagoda was closed today - closed mondays, so will pop back later on the week.
