I would like some opinions on this skimmer please, I can get my hands on one brand new for $200.

The skimmers are of great quality but lack performance.

The big commercial skimmers they make are pretty good.

The jetskim 150 rated for tanks up to 1000l, is it a steal at $200 or should I keep looking?

Its a good price, you also have to add a pump.

try and find some rewiews by people that have or who currently use them, ive heard good things about the quality of the workmanship but no reports as to how they actually perform

It comes with a pump, an aquabee 2000/1

As i said for the price it is cheap, but performance will be lacking.

My display tank after al the rock and sand has been added is holding approx 320L and the sump I am designing should hold approx 180L

seems to work on the same principle as my berlin classic. can't see why it shouldn't work with a grunty pump!
