Hi everyone

Well do i feel like a fool

For weeks now i have been trying to breed Congo tetras, tried all sorts of food to condition them , differant types of breeding traps for saving the eggs and now twice we have had good safe spawnings but the eggs seem to just "melt" to nothing and nothing comes of them.

Well tonight i decided to try some thing else , a new extra large breeding net i made with some plastic mess, so set up a new tank useing 50% water from there old tank and 50% new and moved them, they seem happy so time to wait ............

With there old tank i cleaned it out 90% of the old water and set it up to try some Giant Danios , all again looks good , no problem you think, that is until just now when i got look at the Danios and find 2 Congo tetra fry swimming under the breeding net !

How many did i not see and trow away !! aaaahahhhhhhhh i am a nut !

Who needs to visit an optician then?

Drives you nuts doesn't it? I remember cleaning out the filter once and not realising fast enough that some of the brown gunk going down the plughole was actually baby bristlenoses

Wow, that's a shame. On the same note, congrats on breeding Congo Tetras! Between us that's 8, LOL!

Sad thing about Congos is how long they take to get to sell-able size. Ah well, you have enough different fish breeding for the time to fly by :)

Silly? Yes

But you had me a bit worried when you asked if you wer ILLY??

Had me wondering there fora while.

Thought it may have been a new word..

In cases like that I prefer to check at night using a torch before doing and water changes etc.

At least you now you have viable fish tho Paul

You "illy" lad!!!!

Go and sit in the naughty corner!!
