BGK feeding

Featured Replies

Got a black ghost knife a few weeks ago, and the only way I can get it to feed is if I hand feed it. It is officially my favorite fish now, it is so interactive, and friendly.

Chuck food in at night; will most probably feed then. Although mine came out to eat regularly during the day.

Tankmates? Sometimes they make them shy.

Hasn't changed much either... loves its new 300 litre

How big is it now?

and how old is it, as getting how fast they should be growing is hard to get offline, all I have been able to find is 'slow'.

ghostie is awesome i have never hand feed him lol but i enjoy a tug of war with him over a worm and my guy comes out during the day to eat and at night time he gets blood worms, garden worms, guppies, flakes and the odd beetle etc.

my young fella at the shop has started attacking the syringe I feed my blood worms with.... even attacked my hand when I didn't squeeze it fast enough.

you know they have passed intelligence tests with higher marks than dogs

At the moment I am home studying, so I am spending all day studying by the fish tank. Several times during the day my BGK has woken up and swimming around the tank. One of the times when I saw that I went and got some blood worm and just held them in the tank, and the BGK swam up and ate them, since then I have fed him something (started feeding pallets the same way) every time he swam around the front of the tank, so now he begs for food when he is hungry.

So to sum it up I waited around the tank until I saw it being active then temped it into feeding with blood worms.
