African Cichlid tank?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

So after much deliberating, I'm thinking I might like to set my 182L tank up as an Lake Malawi African Cichlid tank. What sort of stocking could I fit? I like the idea of Demasoni and Electric Yellows. Is this viable for this size tank or am I dreaming? I don't know a thing about cichlids so any comments are appreciated!

That tank would probably be ok for dems/yellows :) Just make sure you add at least 12 dems to start off with..

If your ever out my way and you want to come and look at my fish let me know I have plenty of africans that might give you some idea what you can do.

i had some cichlids in a 180l tank,

i personally like african cichlids as they look close to marine fish even though they are not :slfg:

i even trickedsom of my friends that my electric yellows were marine fish and they believed me :sml1:

good one reptilez...

Yellow and dems are the most common mix. They show each others color nicely. :bounce:

haha thanks...you should try it !

people actually believe you!
