Diatom filter parts

Featured Replies

Hello

Diatom filter parts are obtainable but there is a catch. You have to make a bulk order for the company to send them or you need a relative living in the USA that they are able to send the products too.

Is there is someone out there who has relations that live in the USA that will be able to help us?

We pay for the item and shipping. Thankyou.

Hi - I'm also after some diatom filter bags. That site that Alan gave the link for may be OK - need to have minimum order of $50 - the filter bags are $13 each - if we both got two of them that would put us over the threshold - though the prices for shipping seem steep and no way am I giving the bank $20 for wiring the money.

have you tried aussie?

some of the big shops over there might help you out, i can have a look for some phone numbers of the good shops over there that no me and might help you out, you could try the shop in manly he is good i cant remember the name of the shop but if you look in the phone book on line it should say manly, sydney . he is just a fish shop like my shop and he carries odd things as well. it might be worth a go.

Yes Kim I tried Australia. I went to Brisbane last month I could not find a filter in any LFS that I visited. What I did find was that a number of items on my shopping list were more expensive than back home. :o

Apparently VorteX Diatom filters do not sell well in Australasia (high cost and reliability ???). In the US they are the number one water polisher. If I get to the states I will definitely be bringing some back.

If you mean the powder for the filters.

Go to pool filter suppliers for it.

It may not quite be as refined as 'VORTEX' powder.

BUT, it does the job, and is SO MUCH cheaper.

I use it and find it satisfactory.

Alan
