Most efficient way to hold ponds in minimum space.

I have recently emptied out one of my avairies and was thinking of turning it into a small goldfish breeding area protected from cats and little children. :P The reason is that the area it is in doesn't get much sunlight so isn't very good for housing birds, and another forum said ponds should have not excessive sunlight, just a little.

The space only measures 2.5Lx1mW with a smaller area of only 1mL aswell.

I was thinking one single bathtub, are there any other things that could be used to get the most capacity of water or multiple compartments for seperating parents etc?

What are the dimensions and water capacity of those wine barrels people use and would they be the better way to go?

The aviary is protected from winter weather but it might be best not to have actual fishtanks incase a stornm smashed them.

thanks :bounce:

i use the wine barrels and they're great :D u can get different size wine barrels that range from 100Litre to 200Litre and they do plastic ones which goes all the way up to 1000Litres which is great for storing rainwater.

100Litre half wine barrels are $55 each and $5 each for delivery anywhere in Auckland. OM for detail.
