Ira
And the current in your tank will probably blow chunks of it all over the tank...At least that's what happened with my favorite finger leather yesterday.
Jammos
if you touch it? or the water?
suphew
If you have one that you think is dead you should remove it as quickly as possible it could polute your whole tank and make it crash. But dont assume it is dead if it is just closed up.
rossco
Hey Ira, why do finger leathers do that? :-? (happened to me too) What happens to the toxins they have in them when they disintegrate? :-?

Jammos
Thanks for that all. He is weird and as he is my fist i am being careful. He was pink and has now opened up slightly and half his tenticles are now green? is this normal?
puttputt
it is not dead. Anemones regularly close up and stay closed for periods of time. Leave him be and he will open. the tenticles on most anemones look green when strunken. Suggest you get on the web and do some research on keeping these animals. they are not easy to keep and you should be prepared before buying one. Ira
Hey Ira, why do finger leathers do that? :-? (happened to me too) In my case it's because something's killed all but 3 corals, my anemone and my fish. Tank's been pretty much in a constant state of "Crashed" for the last 7 months.
