trinity
I am wanting to get myself some fish books, what is the easiest and quickest way to buy them. 1. Aquarium Corals : Selection, Husbandry, and Natural History 2. Marine Fishes: 500+ Essential-To-Know Aquarium Species (The Pocket expert Guide Series for Aquarists and Underwater Naturalists, 1) I have tried to get them locally in Rotorua---- no stock but can order I have also tried to get them online (nz websites) but they do not carry stock. I may have to get the whitcoulls here in Rotorua to order me a copy of each. Any help appreciated

lduncan
I was looking at this book for fish over Scott's pocket guide: Dr Burgess's Atlas of Marine Aquarium Fishes Seems to be more comprehensive. With some more obscure species along with the common ones. Only US$50 for a 700+ page hardcover book is pretty good value I think. Zev
Have you tried Fishpond.co.nz? http://www.fishpond.co.nz/advanced_sear ... ll&x=0&y=0 http://www.fishpond.co.nz/advanced_sear ... 2c016557f5 They take bank transfer as well as Visa. I use them quite a lot, very good service on new books in stock, bit slower on used books, but sometimes the price is worth the wait. I managed to pick up Dr Burgess's Atlas of Marine Aquarium Fishes for $56.00 from a second hand bookshop in Wellington over the weekend. trinity
I tried them--------no stock and the wait is anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks. I can't wait that long The books are going to be a pressie to myself
chimera
depends on how much you wanna pay, $111 for hardback aq corals - pretty sure when i brought 3 of them over from amazon they cost me about $70 each. shipping was only 5 days. if you want to support nz business, sweet as but i'd rather have the extra $40 go towards a frag when i last looked at hff it was about $110 too. trinity
  I have been thinking the same thing, get the books as cheap as possible and shout myself a frag or two aswell Hardcover books are not worth the extra money, with the amount of reading the books will get, soft is definately better for me.
