Wok
Yay.. finally my 4ft tank has babies in it. After a bit of gardening in my 4ft tank I have found Gold Gourami fry and have scooped most of them out and placed them in a small grow up tank. and then a couple days after that the Gouramis were at it again and now I have a second batch in the main tank. Funny thing is that I have a Choclate Cichlid that thinks he is the dad to the fry and is now guarding them from all other fish. How cool is that

Wok
Unlucky Billaney All the best for next time. I found that if I neglect my fish they begin to breed. Then again I did have lots of floating indian fern about for the gourami to blow their bubbles in. and very little current. I think my male has started to blow another nest cause the second lot of fry are being looked after by a Chocolate Cichlid. Now I have to find room to set up tank No.
Caryl
Are you sure he isn't the dad?
Wok
yep.. pretty sure they are not his. He seems to be making a big clearing in my forest of Amazon swords at the moment... think he is keen on one of the girl chocolate cichlids at the moment as well.
