Faran
Nah, I don't think NZ has imported any new cold water fish in a long long time. Unless someone has some sitting in the back of a tank somewhere you won't find them. There might be some other interesting coldwater fish out there if you want to keep them. Check with goldfish breeders near you.
meesheelly
My boyfriends little sister, is getting a cold water tank and i was hoping to convince her to get something other than goldfish, i guess minnows may be it.

alextret
Can we keep paradise fish outside? I thought they are more or less tropical.

SpidersWeb
Can we keep paradise fish outside? I thought they are more or less tropical. I kept one in an outdoor pond with goldfish for a year or so, then when the pond was rebuilt and the fish removed there he was, and he was enourmous (as far as Paradise fish go). Not sure if this was a good idea, but I was new to fish keeping back then.
