Ninja turtle
are Masterpet 9 watt lighthood ok for turtle? Some people say uvb light, other say don't waste your money on these light. Where the turtle set up is, get plenty of sun light (not direct sun light) Thanks Sue
alanmin4304
Turtles need either sunlight or a reptile light any other artificial light will not do. They also need to dry out now and then so an unventilated light hood is not good for them. Mine have part of the lid removed to reduce the humidity. WTM
You need the uvb light.... Turtles need the UVB to synthesise D3, without it they will lots of problems; soft shell, bone structure, etc.... Oh and glass used in windows filters out the UVB, so that will be of no use... Wade
