land_lubber
Hey everyone just wondering if you can use JBL Stress Coat and Stress Zyme in a marine aquarium.

land_lubber
Not even using the Stress Zyme to help with starting up a marine?
wasp
You got some, so therefore you have to make use of it so it's not wasted right? Jokes aside though, best not to use it.
land_lubber
hahah yeap ok then what if I use seawater will that help speed it up? I'm still going to wait 4 weeks before anything goes in it I just want to make sure it is well established

tel
good dose of ammonia is what you need to kick things off.......urban myth that some reefers DIY it
land_lubber
yeah I have heard about the whole urine thing but I thought it was a joke but if you did do it how much do you add?
puttputt
Don't pee in your tank Land lubber, a piece of rotting flesh, or the remains of life in your dead rock will produce all the ammonia you need. Just be patient. I'm still going to wait 4 weeks before anything goes in It's not the time thats important, its your Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrate levels that will tell you when it's ok to add fish, and do this very slowly as well. lduncan
Probably better and less "messy" ways of getting ammonia into the tank than that

Alan
Don't fall off the chair either unless you have someone to rescue you from the tank. Prolly wouldn't want to give you mouth to mouth either. Alan
