shaneo
Gidday, My female occ. clown is biting our LTA anemone's tips. She bit a tip off tonight They have never been interested in it.... so could she be testing it out? It has been walking a little for about a week and I'm quessing thats the reason why. Should I let it be or place the anemone in my Q tank? it's not looking too impressed Cheers Shane
Fay
Haven't had that happen before you could try asking on the anemone section on reef central
suphew
I thing the clown is trying to make the anemone move, maybe it wants to start breeding but doesn't like the stop? Does it have a mate?? Maybe it thinks moving will increase its luck!! I don't think it is an uncommon thing for them to do. They also do it to stop the anemones from walking over their eggs. shaneo
I thing the clown is trying to make the anemone move, maybe it wants to start breeding but doesn't like the stop? Does it have a mate?? Maybe it thinks moving will increase its luck!! Yea she has a mate and it seems like she is always trying to push him towards the anemone :-? maybe she is biting the anemone to move it to her mate ? I have two rock mounds in our tank and the anemone is on the one the clowns spend less time around ( thanks to my ytd).... should I move the anemone to the clowns preferred side??
