chimera
might as well post some new pic's too, progress finally. i believe it to be a combo of better lighting but probably more importantly, stable and "adequate levels" for water chemistry (had poor ca, kh and mg for MONTHS) right side, top down (always looks better from above  )
wasp
Certainly looks like some good growth happening! I'll be very interested to see some follow up pics in a month or two, to see the effect the lighting has had on colouration.

speed
Yes nice and sharp pics! What camera are you using and what lens?
chimera
thanks camera is crap (for macro shots) it's a sony dsc-p500 (5MB) karl weiss lens like most point and snap digi cameras. to gain the clarity, i've cropped the image then sharpened it with paintshop pro (have to, as the camera is not that good with macro shots). no colour enhancement though. i'll get another persons pic thats been posted on this site later and sharpen it so you can see the difference. speed
thanks to gain the clarity, i've cropped the image then sharpened it with paintshop pro (have to, as the camera is not that good with macro shots) Ahh... the magic trick! I thought these pics were straight out of the camera. Nice photo taking skill anyway!

chimera
as requested puttputt, some pic's sharpened. i actually also coloured them up a bit too to show how easily it's done. the first two show before and after in the same shot (mod on left, original on right), the last one is fully done and shows your original then my mod original slightly mod'ed
