Southerrrngirrl
I discovered slimey whiteish stuff around the suction cups of the heater and on the decorations of the new tank.. what is this? is it bad?
Pegasus
Hi there, There were a few posts about this some time back, and I think the outcome was a fault with the type of material used for the suction cups. Seem to remember the faulty ones were replaced by the stores they were bought from.. but can't be sure. I also think that some sterilized the cups and had no further probs... Posts were a fair time back. Bill.
Fishkeepa
I noticed this too but as i brought my tank as Complete setup no way of knowing where the heater was from. it sucked it away with the siphon. Never seen it again :bounce:
evilknieval69
It has happened in several of my tanks, always on the suction cups... It goes away eventually but its a pain. especially when you disrupt it and it floats around the tank for hours..... IMO i would just try syphoning it out but dont worry about it too much Rogan
Keri Anne
I've had it in a few new tanks b4 the cycle is going right... added a couple of swordtails as test fish and to jumpstart the cycle - they seem to eat it.
Caper
Here too, used to get it on the heater's suction cups, don't anymore!
