Faran
I don't see a problem with it. I keep a "tank" which is nothing more than a plastic tub from the warehouse. Electrical conductivity is the only thing I can foresee as an issue over glass but thermally can't be much different. Nice sized tank, gonna use it for growing plants? DiverJohn
Thanks Blue... Yeah and getting some fish that apparently are easy to breed and I havent seen them in the LFS so might give them a go too. John
PENEJANE
Does your stainless tank have a glass front? Because I have access to the same setup. Would this be ok as a salt water tank? Cheers
DiverJohn
Haha PJ that woudl be awsome wouldnt it!!! No. mine is all stainless, put some water in it last night, the stainless is quite flexible so i guess a glass from would have to be fairly well braced to stop it twisting
PENEJANE
Yeah well I do have more glass bits here that I can use to do bracing with so thats no big drama. But I was wondering if the stainless would be ok to use for a marine tank (salt water)? Some have said it is ok and others have said no. So I am stuck lol. Because if the answer is yes then that will be come my cold water marine Cheers
KP
If i can remember rightly, if the stainless steel is fully submerged it will last last alot longer than if half in half out. So not suitable for salt water as the inside will be in contact will salt water and the outside will be in contact with air. :-?
