chicky Posted May 12, 2006 Report Share Posted May 12, 2006 I have a big UFO 308 litre tank, and have discus, neon, clown loach, cat fish suckers (cant remember name of them at the mo) but i fed bloodworms and now I have snails growing everywhere!!!! sharn Posted May 14, 2006 Report Share Posted May 14, 2006 yip, stop feeding those clowns :lol: they go nuts over snails! i dont happen to like snails myself, ok having a few but when they start taking over they increase your bio load a fair amount (if you use snail rid be careful afterwards, lotsa dead snails means you can have water problems until you get rid of all the bodies), im sure they poo more than they eat :lol: Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

whetu Posted May 20, 2006 Report Share Posted May 20, 2006 If your clown loach isn't used to eating snails, it may need a bit of encouragement. 1) Don't feed it for a day 2) Reach in and squish a snail or two onto the glass I know this sounds gross, but it may be that Little Clownie doesn't even realise that snails are food.
