Bubbles
I'm using 3 x 800 LPH Nova powerheads in my 3 foot at the moment. They're hooked up to a red sea wave maker, and with all the on/off switching I've noticed that they've gotten a bit noisy lately. No biggy on the pumps as they were cheap, but it is a little annoying. I'm after something small, discreet and fairly grunty, the Eheim 1212 looks interesting. What's everyone else using for tanks this small?
ghostface
those are the ones thatr were on sale at mitre 10 arent they? i went through a couple of these, they are really rattley. if you are on a budget, then the via-aqua powerheads are pretty sweet, about $40 for a 1300lph one, $90 for a 2600lph one. i have both types as in-tank circulation and they have gone fine for years. if you want something a bit gruntier, the seio ones from petplanet are good. if you want to pay the price of a small car, then have a look for some tunze streams - most people end up with one or more of these in their marine tanks. they move huge amounts of water. Bubbles
Yeah there the ones from Mitre 10. Price / performance wise they're very good, except for the noise. I've got 8 of them Would people really consider running streams on a 3 foot tank, it's only 130L in the main tank. I'm getting some for 350L tank though. beachy
Ive been contemplating putting a stream on my tank 130ltrs, you could try a couple of aqua clear 301's or maybe the bigger ones. Or maybe a sieo :-?

chimera
i would suggest a stream, maybe a 6060 (6000lph) or similar. you would only need one
petplanet
I would not put a Seio on a wavemaker. The Aquaclears are a great powerhead.

Bubbles
Unless the 6060 comes with a mop it's probably not the best. However, the 6000 with controller makes a lot more sense as I can turn it down But seriously the 301 aquaclear looks more suitable.
