raeh1
Hey guys I have a question does it matter if I add sea water "cold" into my tank. 20litres at a time to 300 litre setup. I don't think the fish would notice it pumped in through the sump. The reason being that all the micro- life will still be alive when added. tel
a little over 6% water @ 8 degrees less temp.... just a guess but a large shark fart next to a reef would have bigger impact
suphew
I do a couple of hundred liters of cold water at a time into my 800 odd liter setup and have no problems.
SteveA
All my water changes are with cold water (400L for 2200L system). Never causes a problem but it does take place over an hour or so. Steve
Ira
Nah, should barely be measurable. I warm mine up because I do about 1/3rd at a time and that drops the temp by 2-3 degrees. Never noticed any reaction when I let it drop that much, but prefer not to.
