SilverBlade86
Everytime I fill up a tank, I've noticed that there are air bubbles stuck to the sides of the tank. Is this normal?
Caper
Yes, I don't know the science behind it, but I'm sure someone here does
Caryl
Very normal. Trapped air. They will disappear over time.
alanmin4304
The water in the mains is under pressure and therefore dissolves more air. When you fill your tank the pressure is released and so the air comes out of solution. Like pouring lemonade in to a glass (except that is CO2)
sharn
ive read that it can cause/help fish get gas bubble disease??? just what i read though and in old books so it could be wrong
alanmin4304
The bubbles that are formed can also be formed on the gills of fish. Some fish actually enjoy water changes straight from the tap and others don't.
