MRSkz
Well I went to my LFS last night (8pm) and the owner was PISSED!!!! I mean she was sluring her words and everything!!! So being the loyal customer I am I wished her daughter a happy 16th and went to look at the fish. There in the tank all by them selves were what looked like 2 small males and 2 small rather punny females. So being the evil wicked person I am I walk up to the owner and say "hey do me a deal here" and what did I walk out with you ask? all 4 of them for $55!!! when they had been $22 each!!! Yes I did my little happy dance when I got out to the car. Now what I need to know is do I have an agassizi AND a cacatuiod or what? I've looked at the "males" and one looks to have a black line from the bottom of the eye down and a spade shape, single color tail. The other male looking one is more yellow with a V shape tail that's yellow with black flecks threw it and has a line from the top of the eye, threw the eye and under. The "females" are different to. I have one that is puny and rather colorless and one that's more colored up. I can't really get a good look at the females at the moment they seem to be hiding. I'm hoping once I catch my double red female agassizi from my 2 footer I can throw the 4 I just got in there and put the DR fem into the 15LT holding tank they are in. My DR fem is as large as the males I just got and I figure it would be best to keep them seprate for a time being that she gets a little nippy and the other females are rather small. So help, oppinions, suggestions are all welcome here. Thanks

Then I'll pop the 4 of them into the 2 footer and as I do that I'll get there photos.
Faran
Sounds like a ag and cockatoo male, hard to tell with the females. Great deal, looking forward to the pics!
MRSkz
That's my Double Red Fem Unknown female2 Suspected Cacatioud Male Suspected Agassizi Male Unknown female1
MRSkz
So I'm assuming that I'm right. The unknown fem2 looks very much like the "suspect cacatioud male" ecept not as much yellow and no black spots in the tail. I'm assuming that's a his female or another juvi male. The "unknown fem1" is something of a mistery. She's very washed out with very little coloration on her at all. I really do hope that someone that knows there dwarfs will respond but.... MRSkz
my suspected male cockatoo does actualy have his dorsal fin up most times, just in that pic he doesn't. Go figure eah? He's the biggest of the 4. the unknown fem1 is the smallest. The way they behave some times, the other three (not the fem1) I don't know if maybe the 3 of em might be males. I suppose time, and possibly better pictures, will tell.

MRSkz
Funnily enough I've had a double red apisto male(x2 as the 1st died, then the 2nd did) and 2 fem's(only 1 left now) I know what they are suppose to look like but these one's are different. I'll try to get some better photos later. If they weren't so small I'd let my known double red apisto fem in there and I'd probably get a very good idea what was what, maybe. Unfortunatly she'd have the suspect females for lunch they are so small. This resembles one of my suspected males (not the big one) http://www.cichlids.dk/extern/artikel/u ... losa_x.jpg This resembles my very puny colorless suspect female http://www.zoo.ufl.edu/centers/migratio ... amma-s.jpg

MRSkz
I'll have to get some more pics up soon, they have all colored up so lovely on a fairly steady diet of white worms. The colorless female even has stripes now!!
