iisfaq
Some of my angle fish have long poos. These trail behind them - maybe up to 6" long. They do not seem to break off like it normally does. See Photo (sorry hard to capture) Does anyone know what it is and how to clear it up. Caper
Sorry, don't have angel fish...but those who do will help you...but from my understanding long poos could be a sign of constipation! http://www.kokosgoldfish.com/GoldfishPoop.html This was a useful site that... ...horrible memory...that someone posted here... I don't know if it would be much different for different fish but a excellent guideline!

Long and thick poop: The poop is long but the same color as the food you feed them but it trails the fish. This fish is feed to much and is alittle consitapated. Fish shouldnt be feed for three days. Sounds like my problem (although some white) I do feed them well. Chris
Caper
Believe me, I know how easy it is to overfeed...done that before :-? :-? If there are no other symptoms/signs of anything else going on, sounds like it is constipation..what do the wise ones here think??? If you think you're overfeeding, cut back...even when the fishies start screaming for more and jumping out of the tank to get to the food...hold steadfast and refuse them
LYNDYLOO
I thought you are meant to feed fishies peas if they are Constipated, maybe give it a go. Lynda
Caper
Yes Lyndyloo...you do for goldfish...but I don't know, does it work for all fishies??? When I thought my goldfish were constipated, I did what Mustcooktea recommended...3 days no food (hard to do)...then 3 days of peas!
sharn
you can feed alot of fish (not sure about ALL) peas to ease constipation, just have to mush them up to mouth sized bits
