lduncan
Triggers of the Xanthicthys genus are my latest interest in fish at the moment. All going to plan, i'll be the owner of a pair of Crosshatch Trigger in the next few weeks. Here are some pics of the three reef safe species in this genus i've collected over the last few weeks: Xanthicthys mento - Crosshatch Trigger Xanthicthys auromarginatus - Blue Throat Trigger Xanthicthys ringens - Sargassum Trigger Layton

wasp
No it was my mistake. Just assumed it was your tank.
Feelers
Those are cool!!! , and I was under the impression(from my crappy borrowed book) that triggers were totally reef incompatible. How much does a pair cost ?(out of interest)
lduncan
Those are cool!!! , and I was under the impression(from my crappy borrowed book) that triggers were totally reef incompatible. This genus is the most friendly of all triggers and are generally considered reef safe... having said that, they may still dismember any shrimp though. How much does a pair cost ?(out of interest) The million dollar question. http://www.marinecenter.com/fish/trigge ... chtrigger/ Layton

lduncan
My crosshatches arrived today. Absolutely amazing fish, by far the most impressive fish I've seen, bar none. They are HUGE though, so lucky the lager tank is in the planning. Hopefully they take to the tank all right and start feeding again quickly. They will be getting extra special attention. That's for sure! Layton
