koigoldfish
Hi all, What plant would you recommend for a cold water, goldfish aquarium? I am seeking a plant which is a prolific grower and relatively easy care. I have just had to treat my goldfish with acriflavine and has given the tank a complete overhual. Caryl
Goldfish tend to destroy many plants because they nibble away at the base which kills off the rest. Go to your local park or clean waterway and get some oxygen weed from the streams. Otherwise, I found Java fern and water sprite were about the only two plants that lasted any time at all with my goldfish 8)
Jo1
Blue Hygrophila, Ludwigia, Lysamachia. Only problems can be if you have comets which uproot the plants occassionally.
