Devon
Hi there saw some fish the other day and was just wondering if they are very hard to get ahold of. They were albino zebra fish.
Billaney
not that hard, I'm assuming they were golden/albino Zebra Danio's, nice fish about 1 - 1 1/2 inches fast swimmers near the surface of the tank. you see them in a lot of LFS

herefishiefishie
Any idea on what type of Zebra they are? Frenchy
Luke*
I avoid all albino fish as their sight is substantially impaired. Golden are fine. You know albinos as they have a pink eye, goldens don't.
herefishiefishie
Thats what most here are too, though there are some now with names, eg; Albino Pindani. (Pseudotropheus socolofi) Albinos are either loved or hated, I think the different colour/eyes.... makes a nice look to a display tank. JoandWilly
geez how would you tell between the albino's... is it a zebra or peacock, because our albino is straight white, doesn't have any darker or lighter strips on him/her (like mystics) and we are 90% sure its a albino socolofi
herefishiefishie
Peacocks & zebras are easy to tell apart, by shape of body... heres the albino pindani I used to have, they are in Brads display tank now, Frenchy
James
hi Devon, just wondering what pet shop you saw those fish in as I've been looking for some to complement my one.
malawi_man
my albino pair are the same shape as my estherae, mystics one almost has the head shape of a metriaclima crabro.
