nudibranch help

There is a heckuva lot of them and can be very difficult to ID. A good bet will be to use this site http://www.seaslugforum.net/

However most nudibranches are predatory and often very prey species specific, so they can be a problem to keep as they will either starve, or eat something in your tank you where trying to grow.

Perhaps his prey would have been in the immediate surroundings where you caught him?

If it's a nudi not a slug it's unlikely it eats weed.

Might luck out with an ID if you posted a pic on the sea slug forum.

Otherwise who knows, could eat anything from certain type of anemone to other nudis. If you cannot get an ID probably the only way would be to dump some stuff in the tank from the rock pool & see if you can observe it eat anything.
