i have a two foot tank and a four foot light!

I'm in desperate need of a two (or less) foot lighting unit. (its gonna have a wooden hood so the unit can be no longer than two foot).

I've trawlled the net and trade me but cannot find a deicent priced unit (with two bulbs) ~$60-$90

Any ideas guys and girls? :-?

Can do a brand new in the box Aqua One AL15D flight fitting for $74.95+delivery ($5 standard post). Takes 2 x 15W 18" fluro tubes and comes with standard aquarium bulbs.

hmmmm i'll get back to you on that one as i've currently had an offer for something very similar, NEW for $60 + P&P

:D

I have 2 x TLD96 18W tubes (tube is 582mm long and 602mm long including terminals). You can have them if you can find a fitting. The fitting will be about 610mm overall length. You'll need to check your tank to see if it's 2 feet or 600mm and 2 feet is actually 609.6mm long. If you use really thin meterial for the end of your hood, 610mm will fit fine. I had a 600mm long tank with a hood 620mm long and it looked ok with the 10mm overhange each side. The stand was also 620mm wide so it looked well balanced...
