mickey-tropical-fish-mad
Hey I have angel fish, loaches, a pleco, penguin fish/ tetras, black widow tetras, platys, mollies and bronze corydoras. I have ordered some plants to go in there with them however I have no idea as to weather they will be ok in there with the fish. If anyone knows please post. I do remember reading that people had trouble with plecos and plants is that true?
Caryl
Plecs grow really big and every time they move they tend to swipe a plant with their tail and uproot it. The rest of your selection there will be fine and not eat the plants.
Snowman
My big clown loach loves chewing on my cabomba and ambulia, always finding floating bits (possibly some of the other types of loaches in the same tank but i have snapped the big one doing it)
Tsarmina
jude gave me some cuttings and my plec has wiped out 2 types of plant. the rest are barely hanging in there cause my CAE's like to have a go too. the only ones that rarely get touched are the cabomba and ambulia, and the Java moss that i originally had in the tank. Cath
I've found that if you really want to get your plants going you need to establish them first so they have a strong root system first before introducing any of the plant destroying fish. Not much help to you now I know.
