ghostface
what is the best salt to use? instant ocean or other? how reckless is it to use straight auckland tapwater to mix it? im setting up a 680l tank, trying to avoid doing 5 trips to takapuna for NSW. (only have 7x 20l buckets)
Brianemone
depends on the price really. personally i would just make the voyage to the beach if i was that close, or borrow some buckets, or give some money to cracker to use his trailer of fun
lduncan
Instant Ocean is meant to be quite good. I use it, or Red Sea. Red Sea can be a little low in alk and magnesium. Instant oceans pretty good out of the box from what i've used. Layton

lduncan
how reckless is it to use straight auckland tapwater to mix it? I don't think you would want to do that! Us lucky ones in Christchurch can get away with using tap water, but it's probably the only place in the world where you can. You're better off using NSW that ASW mixed with Auckland tap water. wasp
I'd agree with Layton here. ( Aren't I the gentleman!  )
