Blueram
Does anybody use DIY fertilisers for their tanks?? If so what recipes do you use and how successful are they?? Cost effective?? Regards Blueram
Ira
I do. I just bought some trace element mix, chelated iron and epsom salts from a garden center and about 2 tablespoons of each in a squeezy bottle full of water. A little squirt ever night when I feed the fish seems to work great. It seems like the plants don't grow at all and get covered in algae if I don't use it, but they grow nicely if I do. Oh, The bottle usually lasts me something like 6 months and I think all up everything cost me about $30...Probably got enough for 10 years.
