Brianemone
one of my fungids is green with purple highlights. in the transition it was slightly damaged from a rock or something and the skeleton was exposed (very small part) the tissue has now regenerated but the interesting thing is that the new tissue is a different colour that the rest, its a very bright purple (think ribena) i guess its alot light scar tissue in humans. think it will fade? cracker
If its a heliofungia it probably wont survive. Did the same thing to mine and she karked it. Got a pic Brian?

Ira
*Sniff* My fungia croaked. So far I have 100% fatalities on corals I've put on my sandbed.
Pies
I did an experiment with my fungia, which I burried half in the sand, and removed 5 days later. The tissue died, and about 4 weeks later it was obvious I had babies. Many have died (due to me and my cleaning maganet) but I think I will get 5 babies from it, all a little bigger than 5c pieces at the moment. The tissue that died has re-grown, and only a pie wedge where the new babies is, is left exposed. Pie
