slash
Ive got a tank of 170cm L x 52cm H x 50cm for free ! But the bottom sheet of glass had a crack on it, which was about 62cm by 30cm going diagionally on the top corner of it, The bottom sheet of glass is 10mm thick. I rang the repair shop and they said $160 to fix the whole bottom sheet in, too much for me so i asked them how much it would cost to replace with the sheet i provided, that was $60+gst. Thats better for me, so now iam in the hunt for a sheet of glassof atleast 10mm thickness, any recommendations? Or are there other methods of fixing this crack? (I was told that a sheet of glass over the crack well stuck would fix but i am not sure as i asked the repair shop and they said it wouldnt work. Any help would be great ! Thanks A Picture of the crack
Ira
Putting a patch on it may work ok. But, given the size and obvious difficulty of dismantling the tank if it doesn't work with a tank that size I'm going to say just save for a week or two if you need to and get the glass place to replace the whole bottom.
