scatman
Got an little anenome on the weekend. Was under normal T8 on the sand. I put it on a rock in the middle and it seem to be fine . Yesterday late afternoom it seem to shrink away . After my halide has gone it came back all perky. Could it be that the light is to intense for it at the moment
ghostface
it may just need time to adjust to the new lighting conditions. it should move to a place in the tank that it likes on its own.
Brianemone
most anemone's will react to light when put into a new tank (part of their being stressed) given the right acclimitization it should be fine
Rocketman
I bought one this weekend as well . I'm having second thoughts now ( it settled at the back of the tank ) dug itself into the sand out of the main lighting area .
wasp
Rocketman if it's a heteractus malu or similar, that will dig into the sand, you can put it where you want and it will likely stay there. Just dig a hole for it and place it in. Only thing a malu will like 6 inch deep of sand, if you don't have that make the hole against a rock or glass so it can tunnel along or under. If you put it out in the open in shallow sand it will slowly work it's way along till it finds a rock or similar to get its foot under, so it feels "anchored".
