lduncan
Some of the brown hairy crabs can be sps eaters. If it were me, i wouldn't be putting it in my tank. Layton
Pies
Yeah crabs are bad news (sure there are some nice ones, but as a general rule). Throw it somewhere where it can't do any harm, or send it to me and it can live its life out in my Refugium with all the other unwated critters (including other crabs, bird nosed wrasse, carpet anemones etc). klaymann
looks like a " gorilla crab" ( sp ?).. if the end of the pincers are flattened , shouldn't be a hassle in the tank , only prob is they like to move things around in the tank.. :-? cracker
I just removed one exactly the same just last night...been trying for about a week after reading a thred by WESTY. He HAS been eating the tips off two of my best Acros.....He is now in the sump for some time out! I had to pull half the god damn reef apart to get him. puttputt
Ditto, took one of these exactly the same off a new acro on Sunday. It had eaten a small patch of the acro. Hes in the refugium now.
SteveA
Don't know what it is but think I have one. As I feed quite a bit, I don't generally have much trouble with crabs bothering corals except when they tip one over before I get to glue it down. raeh1
I must have a crab in my tank. I stuffed a coral into a whole. then 2 hours later it was lieing on the bottom of the tank. (did this three times before finding another whole). I also get the odd thing moved about. Still haven't seen one yet though. Plus I get funny noises at night after lights out.
