Faran Posted September 27, 2005 Report Share Posted September 27, 2005 I just gave it a go and only found this as the best lead - For general scientific details on botiines, check out FishBase (www.fishbase.org), but bear in mind that the database hasn't yet been brought up to date with the recent taxonomic changes, so you'll see some species listed which are now in synonymy and lots of the older names. The fantastic Loaches Online (www.loaches.com) is also worth a few hours of your time and includes loads of practical advice on loach keeping, written by fanatics from around the world. Maurice Kottelat's latest paper on botiines is also well-worth tracking down: Kottelat, M. (2004): Botia kubotai, a new species of loach (Teleostei: Cobitidae) from the Ataran River basin (Myanmar), with comments on botiine nomeclature and diagnosis of a new genus. Zootaxa: 401: 1-18.
