LYNDYLOO
How strange is this, My Dalmation Sailfin Molly, which is Male, seems to have paired up with a Black Widow Tetra, Is this normal? I also have a Female Dalmation Molly, in the same tank as the Male, but the Male seems to be sticking by the Black Widows side no matter what, at times I have even seen him trying to mate with the Black Widow, as far as I know Black Widows are eggs layers, Aren"t they? Has anyone else had a similar thing happen, and is this normal? At least if the Black Widow was a Livebearer, Maybe these two strange fish, may a invented a new type of fishie A ?. LYNDYLOO
Hi Caper, Thanks for that info, hmmm, yes well, so you have strange fishies to then? The male Molly was doing his little dance around the Black Widow again this afternoon, must admit, quiet interesting to watch, I keep telling him, he's doing it with the wrong fishie, but just doesn't seem to listen haha, anyway I keep ya posted. Caryl
Fish have very small brains. He obviously likes her body shape and doesn't realise he won't get anywhere but I bet he has fun trying
LYNDYLOO
Been watching these weird fishies, this arvo, isn't it amazing just how quickly they can dart back and forth when they are in the middle of their mating dance, and the way he sticks his fin up, just like he's saying "hey look at me, aren't I just gorgeous", feel abit sorry for the female molly who he could be mating with, maybe I should be feeling sorry for him, lets face it, he ain't gonna be getting anywhere, with who he's trying to mate with. Silly Fishie, will be interesting to see just how long this mating game goes on for before he actually realises, he's not getting anywhere. Lynda
