scatman
How long will one fish aggression normally last over the other. Will it be until a dominance is settled or will one have to be removed. Royal gramma over six line wrasse. There is no real fighting just circling one another

Brianemone
i doubt the six line and the gramma will coexist well long term. but the sixline will more than hold its own as long as its eating well.
reef
i doubt the six line and the gramma will coexist well long term why?. never been problems in any of my tanks. just takes time to settle.
Brianemone
reef your tank is not 3 foot, you cant compare how fish intereact in your tank to how they will act in his tank.
reef
yes i can as i have 40 tanks. never been a problem, some grammas and sixline are in small 2ft tanks and they are not fighting. Some sixline are aggressive and some Gramma loreto can also be a bit aggressive with smaller fish, just depends on the fish's nature. Brianemone
they are both territorial and in a three foot tank they do not have the space needed to establish theirown space. how many of those tanks are constantly inhabited by the same fish?? keep us updated scatman. reef
constantly inhabited by the same fish?? 6 or so tanks and never been a problem, as mentioned it just depends on the fish's nature. If they are still fighting after 4 weeks then it is best to remove one of them. or you could take out the sixline and put him back in a week.
