misnoma
Seriously, they make rabbits look like nuns (as someone told me once  ) just give it a week or two, keep em fed and they'll breed

clarkeymaster
yes the tnk is only for them to breed in and once they do ill move them into my cichlid tank. the male is about 7cm and the female is a couple of cm smaller. Alan
Chuck in a couple of dither fish. These show the others that it is safe to come out, and also gives the target fish something to think about when they have eggs or fry. They tend to protect them and not get bored and eat them. (eggs or fry) When the T/F see the dithers eating, they get jealous and come out to get their share. I feed trout pellets. I use danios for this, they are fast if chased, and also make a flashy show. What size was that tank?? Alan
clarkeymaster
Its a one foot tank, how many danios would be good then?

clarkeymaster
Thank you for al that helped me out, i looked tonight at the underside of the cave roof and found quite a few eggs that the female is now fanning and the male isn't allowed near them now.i guess with convicts its a matter of paitience. reptimax
um yea dont worry aey...i got convicts and they breed any where any time. aey just had a batch of unfertilised eggs cos the male was abit lazy...he'll catch up ....yea no worries....maybe add some neons because sometimes cichlids need other fish in the aquarium to feel secure...or add some other freindly cichlids.....eg. jewels, acaras, kribensis, rams something along that line cheerz
