chimera
1500 x 600 x 600 is common. personally if i were to do a 5 footer again i'd go 700 back and 600 high. sump size? allow for equipment, mainly personal preference - the bigger the better obviously. i'd say minimum 3 foot on a 5 foot tank. allow for a refugium too if you're building a specific sump room. my 5 footer display has 3 foot sump and 4 foot fuge. http://www.deepblueaquarium.co.nz/ for weipro skimmers
Brianemone
i dont think the wierpros are up to a tank that size, you may want to consider a chunkier skimmer my new tank is going to be 1200x500x750 nice width front to back to be able to create something nice with the rockwork and not to deep to require huge amounts of lighting
