Guest Anonymous
I am new to tropical fish. Purchased a tank and all the gear new. Now need to get fish. It is a hexagonal tank about 2ft in diameter and 3ft tall. I am in the Bay of Plenty area, so anyone with fish to sell or can direct me where to go would be much appreciated. No problem to cover Hamilto/Akld areas either.

Bluetom
welcome to the site, hope you find all the info you need. you may want to read up all you can on cycling before you put fish in, just to make sure you don't lose any fish. I'm too far away aswell sorry, there a few people around from the bay of plenty so you may find someone close to help you out.
Alan
Hi W.bain, welcome to the site. We have a chat most nights at about 9.00pm. Drop in and have a chat, we sometimes even talk fishy subjects. I'm over the hill from you in Whakatane. There is a club in Hamilton that meet once a month and travel, or do something, between meetings. I think they are planning a trip down this way, but I don't know what route they'll be taking. Any way, make sure as has been suggested, to check out your cycling process before you get any fish. Been out to Arnie's Water World on the Rainbow Springs Rd.?? They seem to be getting bigger each time I visit. There is another good shop over in Tirau, they know what they are on about, and it's called Tropical Blues. On the Western side of Main St. But back from the road frontage. Definitely worth a trip.
