rachel4
I thought that calling someone from England a pomme, was actually considered to be an insult? My family on fathers side are all from there and I never call them that cause i always thought it was rude By the way Hi Tim

My family on fathers side are all from there and I never call them that cause i always thought it was rude Nothing insulting as far as I'm concerned... I get called a Pom by all manner of people.. but I ain't a prisoner... nor ever was.. buy hey... they call NZlanders "Kiwi's".. but you ain't birds.. and the Australians "Ozzies".. but it is taken in contex. As Billaney points out.. P,O,M,E The old word that was used by the British for the Prisoners Of Mother England that were sent to the Australian Continet as punishment. Bill.
