misnoma
So... given I have killie fry right now, what would be a good size tank to hurl them in? I'm thinking somewhere around 40-50L ?
caserole
yes a standard 2 foot tank is perfect =600mmx300mmx300mm = 50lt tank or thou it depends on how many fry you have you could grow around 100 fish to 25mm long or 40 to 40mm long in that tank no trouble at all. caserole
I don't think that size tank is aloud Ant. misnoma, I just use home made sponge filters or plastic box filters. bear bottem (no gravel ), easer to keep the tank clean as the amount of food you feed your fry increases . misnoma
bookshelf isn't that big    might get a couple of 20ishL tanks instead of one 50, that way I can seperate species and stuff - given I'm only dealing with small numbers would that work okay? caserole
standard killi breeding tank for most species is 300mmx200mmx200mm =12lt, a pair or trio are fine in there if water is keep clean, reg small water changes
