kbird
Hi all, Am just starting back into tropicals after __ years absence. Times have certainly changed as far as equipment and fish species are concerned. However it looks like the principles remain the same, although these modern terms eg cycling, nitrites etc can be a bit baffling? Anyway have started witha 4 foot community and looking to get back into my old favourite, the Discus. Have bought most of my setup through trademe and have found the true fishos extremely helpful. 1953
Caryl
Welcome kbird. Things aren't really that much different and the explanations about cycling aren't so bad once you think about it. If you set up slowly and didn't rush, you could get going without knowing all about it as you would have done it all right without knowing it! jude
Welcome Kbird, I am sure you will learn heaps here. I agree with Caryl about the cycling thing, so long as things are done slowly and carefully it would be OK - after all, people had successful tanks well before all this knowledge was available Cheers Jude
