raeh1
I heard that clams can get parasite snails on them The one I found was about 4-5mm long and white, and shaped like a cone. This is the first I have spotted and looked all over the clam and saw no more. I have had the clam for about 2 months now. Cheers for your help guys... reef
it is harmful so remove it as they kill clams,

raeh1
How can I kill them all. Even though I have only seen one there could be more.
lduncan
Just keep pulling them off as soon as you see them. It's likely that there will be eggs everywhere, so it may take a while to get rid of them completely.
Kermit
Still pulling the damn things out 6 months later and there seems to be get more each time, mine are also walking around the tank six line wrasse doen't give two hoots about them so that sucks as i was hoping he would. O'well just have to keep on tryin, the clam doesn't seem to be bothered by them as much as he was when they first apeared, the weird thing was they didn't apear till about 3 months after i got it go figure :-? . You can get snail exit for fresh water tanks would that work in a marine system? Robert
Ira
Yeah, FW snail rid should be pretty effective at killing the snails. It will also wipe out any other invertebrate and poison your liverock. All it is is a solution of copper.
