seahorsemad
I have a simese fighting fish that was sold to me as a female. She has the horizontal stripes in all the right places, but... her fins appear to have grown longer than the usual length of female fighter fish and after putting her in another tank by herself she has started to build bubble nests. Is this normal for a fighting fish or have i brought a hermafridite?
jude
I vote for hermaphrodite - not that I know what I am talking about of course but it would provide some fascinating viewing ..........  Cheers Jude
Nilocagain
I believe what you brought was in fact a young male(now not so young) Was it a private sale and how big was it? Cheers

Interfecus
I've had a female who built bubble nests. I ended up giving her nests to the males who had no interest in building at all  .
mistymu05
i have that problem of telling the difference between my males and females as i have been going by the fin lengths but i have a couple that look like girls = browny coloured and spotty and no long tails etc but their fins are rather long.....so i just playing a guessing game at home at the moment and with the two i gave dad i think its one of each but not absolutely sure either......
